Hot dogs wraped in dough

8 hot dogs
500 g flour
1 packet instant of yeast (or 25 g of fresh yeast)
1 tablespoon of sugar
1 cup warm water
5 tablespoons of baking soda
Sesame seeds (optional)
poppy seeds (optional)

Hot dogs wraped in dough

In a bowl mix the yeast and sugar in a cup of warm water.
In another bowl put the flour sifted, mixed with a teaspoon of salt. Make an indentation in the middle and pour the mixture of yeast and sugar. Mix all the ingredients and knead the dough until elastic. Allow to leaven for one hour, covered with a clean towel.
In a pot boil 3-4 liters of water mixed with 4-5 tablespoons of baking soda.
On a surface dusted with flour, stretch a sheet of dough, about 0.5 cm thick. Cut long strips with a sharp knife or pizza cutter. Wrap each hot dog in a strip of dough, then boil 40-45 seconds in water with baking soda. Remove hot dogs from water and place in a tray covered with baking paper. Sprinkle, if you prefer, with sesame seeds, poppy seeds or salt. Bake in preheated oven at medium heat for 25-30 minutes, or until nicely browned.
