Tomato sauce with carrots

4 tomatoes
2 onions
3 carrots
5-6 tablespoons of oil
1 tablespoon tomato paste
salt and pepper

Tomato sauce with carrots


Peel the onions and chop them finely.
Peel the carrots and grate.
Wash tomatoes and chop.
In a pan with hot oil fry the onions and carrots. When the onions have softened add the tomatoes. When the sauce starts to thicken, add the tomato paste, salt and pepper to taste. The simmer another 15 minutes.

It can be served with meat (steak, meatballs) or pasta.
